Electrochemical Reduction of B(Ⅲ) in Molten Fluorides

  • 摘要: 用循環伏安法和卷積技術研究了LiF-NaF低共熔體中,以KBF4形式加入的B (Ⅲ)在鉑電極上陰極還原機理.結果表明,B (Ⅲ)的電化學還原為簡單的三電子一步反應,陰極過程在所研究的掃描速度下接近于可逆過程,且受擴散控制,硼在鉑電極上形成可溶性產物.

     

    Abstract: The mechanism of the cathode process of B(Ⅲ) on a platinum electrode in molten LiF-NaF-KBF4 at 750℃ has been investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry and convolution technique.It Was found that the electrochemical reduction of B(Ⅲ) to elementary boron is a simple three-electron process involving alloy formation with the platinum electrode.The cathodic process is very close to a reversible process and is diffusion controlled.
